Two pass vbr encoders will re-encode your DVD(vob) rips, Mpeg1 and Apple movies to smooth running RealMedia files that can be stored on standard CD-R's or DVD-R's. Quality/Size ratio is exellent. Even your DV-camera footage or TV-broadcast recordings look great after being compressed by this encoder. Imagin you have a TV(avi) recording in 576 x 432 frame size and two hours in length. Re-encoded with 800 Kbps the end-result is stunning and it will fit on a single 700 Mbyte CD-R.
