CD 2004 is an application that encrypts the messages between the MSN Messenger 6.1 client and the .NET Messenger Service to secure the communication between two or more clients.
Blowfish has been used to encrypt the instant messages. This symmetric block cipher uses a key with a length of 448 bits and we have used the implementation of the algorithm consisting of 16 rounds which has NO KNOWN ATTACKS.
The asymmetric library that has been used is based on the highly complex and well-accepted area of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC), and is used for the key exchange. We have used ECIES/ECDSA and non-composite elliptic curves over GF (2m) that have NO KNOWN ATTACKS.
Furthermore, a two-way key exchange protocol among three principals (based on Needham-Schroeder-Lowe) is used to transfer the keys. This has NO KNOWN ATTACKS.
The product consists of many interesting features. It automatically detects which of your buddies have installed CD 2004 and gives you a list letting you decide whether you want to chat in the secure mode or not. Also you can decide whether to exchange a new key for each and every session (ephemeral) or to use the existing key.
To make you feel at ease about CD 2004's key feature (Strong Encryption), something that you would not normally see, we have included the 'View Secure Messages' section which shows the actual encrypted messages being transferred over the internet.
Either you or another person might want to use the same installation with a different MSN Passport. This feature has been made available through the 'Multiple User' tab - purchasing another license by providing a different passport would allow you to do that.
CD 2004 provides extremely high security with ease of use, and upholds your fundamental human right to privacy. It represents fantastic value for money at only USD 5.95 and even comes with free technical support and updates!
