Work Order Writer for Windows contains a service work order database manager and print engine. It is designed to be a real work saver for the small (and not so small) service oriented business. Perfect for HVAC, trades people, carpet cleaners, repair techs and many others. The program keeps records of your clients' business name and address, contact names and phone numbers. You can select the client from a list or start typing and the "smart complete" feature finds what you've typed and brings you to that part of the list. Once a client is selected you may browse/print their previous work orders or write a new one. If you're creating a new work order for the client, most of the information is filled in for you from the client area. Work orders can include work site, 'ordered by' name and phone, contact name and phone, date, 'promised by' date and time, nature of the problem and equipment involved. An equipment inventory can be kept for each client containing make / model / serial number info and date and nature of last service. This also facilitates work order entry as equipment can easily be entered by choosing from the clients equipment list. Once written the work order can be output to your printer to produce a professional looking document containing your business name, address, phone and email, (using whatever font you choose) and all the above work order information along with an area for the service tech to enter start time and stop time, parts used, and a line for an authorization signature. Work Orders can be assigned a Status, allowing tracking of "in progress" jobs. A customizable report generator allows you to track equipment and work orders for on screen viewing or hard copy printing. There is a thirty day free evaluation period after which time the software is unusable without a registration key. Registration is $69 for single use, $149 for five user network and $249 for company wide unlimited users.
