Lucigenic Crypt is a COM component that enables software developers to provide advanced cryptographic services in applications and scripts. Crypt implements the Blowfish and AES (Rijndael) encryption algorithms. The component also implements the Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-1) and the Base64 encoding algorithm. ECB, CBC, CFB and OFB cipher modes are implemented. One step methods are provided to compress and encrypt files and strings. Self decrypting archives can be created for files and strings in a single step. Aside from providing core string and file encryption services, Crypt implements advanced features such as Base64 based encryption, serialization of encrypted strings and the encryption of complex file regions. Lucigenic Crypt can emit encrypted data in binary, hexadecimal and Base64 format. Robust random number creation routines are implemented in the component.
Crypt has been optimized for real-time applications and can be used in streaming media applications.
Lucigenic Crypt is a small-footprint, self-contained component that does not require any run-times for it's operation. The component is thread-safe and highly scalable. The component comes bundled with extensive sample source code. A .Net assembly is included for the component. Crypt can be used with all scripts and languages that are COM aware.
