The software has been designed as universal product for surveillance cross platforms running simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet webcams, TV-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the similar form and controls on the local and distant computers. Users watch MPEG coded video and have complete management of the program using net that surveillance workstation can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular structure considerably increases reliability because all components work as autonomous software. If one part freezes, other components continue working. For instance if the `record` component freezes, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching video using a `playback` component. The software does `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by movement, human face recognition, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on remote computer through Web interface. The program performs synchronized video playback for event examination from many webcams simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
