Keeping track of files and protecting them from loss or damage is a never ending chore for any active PC user. Here is a simple utility that will take some of the insecurity and the tedium out of finding, deleting and copying over duplicate or version files. With Comparator, you won't need to open two Explorer windows to make painstaking comparisons but you'll still have the Windows system menu available to you by right-clicking a file. Here, too, is an alternative to the Microsoft® Briefcase -- install this program everywhere you go to keep shared files in sync. Finally, don't neglect full backup routines, but do make use of Comparator to quickly update a small backup set before you get down to some serious work. You can also run Comparator in multi-language interface (all menus, dialog texts and messages). Or create your own language by editing the language file directly.
