It is a simple backup tool for every computer both for personal use and for a network servers under Windows platform. Product is useful for creating Zip backups of files, located on personal computers, file servers or ftp sites.D_back software is consists of two independent utilities - backup manager and command-line backup utility. Backup manager is a fully-functional end-user backup tool, which is intended for creation backup profiles, making backups and data restoring. Command line utility performs backing up in a command-line mode. Both utilities use the same backup profile - "BACKUP SET FILE", which contains all options to create backup. This file is created by the backup manager and is used for quick regular backing up by both utilities. You can create as many such files as you need. Exists opportunity to choose the best backup strategy, depending on dynamic characteristics and size of the processable data. Four kinds of backing up are available in this software. For static or low-dynamic data FULL or INCREMENTAL backup is recommended. Another backup kinds - STACK or ADVANCED STACK, will be useful for high-dynamic data. You can flexibly create an exact set of files, which need to be archived. Included and excluded files are specified separately. Wildcards (* ?) are allowed in all paths specifications. There is no problem to organize regular backing up. For this d_back command-line utility is intended. This utility can be used with the windows task schedulers. It completely carries out all functions of the backup manager for data processing. Simply start d_back and pass a BACKUP SET FILE as parameter to it. It's enough for backup creation - no more! You can completely check the results of data processing. The history of startings and all errors or warning messages are saved to a log file. In addition exists possibility to notify user by e-mail about starting/ending each backup job.
